Moonraker

Moonraker is the Michael Jordan of baseball of punk rock.

David Green, Matt Sampson, and Nick Sucks are a Los Angeles-based punk rock trio that has spent the past fifteen years writing fast, melodic songs about anxiety, failure, mental health, bad decisions, and all the other bullshit life throws at you. Formed in 2011, Moonraker built its following the DIY way, releasing records through independent labels and playing everywhere from basements to punk festivals.

Across Fail Better, Lanterns, and The Forest, Moonraker has turned self-deprecation, bleak subject matter, and uncomfortable honesty into songs that are funny until they suddenly are not. Their music pulls from melodic punk, skate punk, emo, and ’90s melodic hardcore, but the personality, humor, and perspective are unmistakably their own.

Moonraker signed with Punkerton Records in 2026 and will release its new full-length album, Me and the Bells, on October 9, 2026. Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Christopher H. Fogal at Black in Bluhm in Denver, the album continues what Moonraker has always done best: making anxiety, failure, and the struggle to keep going feel painfully recognizable.
