Collection: Hell is Ohio

Hell is Ohio is a Midwest-based clothing brand named after the well-known “Hell is Real” billboard located along I-71 between Columbus and Cincinnati (39.7375N, 83.347778W). Founded as the charitable wing of Punkerton Records, the brand began by releasing three compilation CDs aimed at supporting social causes.

Over time, Hell is Ohio transitioned into a standalone clothing label, operating under its own license for several years before being reacquired by Punkerton Records. The brand’s name and message are not meant as a critique of religion, but rather as a reflection of Ohio’s (and the U.S.'s) ongoing cultural and political struggles, and a stance against bigotry and oppression.
