KNIVES FL is a Jacksonville, Florida pop-punk band built from early-2000s summer nostalgia, Warped Tour muscle memory, and the kind of emotional urgency that made the genre feel dangerous in the first place. What began in 2022 as a one-night idea between songwriter Danny Attack on vocals and guitar and Brendan Morrison on screams and guitar quickly turned into something much bigger. With Josh Kidd on drums and Adam Johnson on bass, KNIVES became a full-force band, blending heart-on-sleeve songwriting, sharp guitar work, driving bass lines, and explosive drums into a sound that feels both familiar and immediate.

Signed to Punkerton Records in 2023, KNIVES released their debut LP, One Cut Away From Love, on November 15, 2024. The album is a cathartic run through love, loss, regret, resilience, and the kind of emotional wreckage that follows you long after the summer ends. From the gut-punch tragedy of “My Only Gold” to the frantic energy of “Oh This Sin of Mine,” the record channels the spirit of skate punk, pop punk, and post-hardcore without getting trapped in nostalgia.

KNIVES write songs that are loud, melodic, raw, and deeply personal. Their music carries the feeling of late-night drives, blown-out speakers, gas station caffeine, borrowed vans, basement shows, and friends screaming every word like it might save them. It is pop punk with bite, built for anyone who still believes a chorus can hit like a confession and a breakdown can feel like a release.

With One Cut Away From Love, KNIVES FL turned their sharp edges into something anthemic. It is a record for the brokenhearted, the restless, and the lifers still chasing that first feeling of finding a song that understood them before anyone else did.
